STS Theatre Company’s production of Grease

Small Town Stars Theatre (STS) Company was founded in 2015 by Miranda Secula. Their first production was Grease in the summer of 2016 at the Carroll County Arts Center. In the summer of 2017, they produced Heathers: The Musical, and, in the summer of 2018, they produced Spring Awakening. Meet the Crew for Legally Blonde: 

Miranda Secula- Director 

Miranda Secula is thrilled to be directing Legally Blonde in the summer of 2019. She started STS Theatre Company in 2015 and has been working to grow the company ever since. She also directed their productions of Grease, Heathers, and Spring Awakening. She believes Legally Blonde will be her biggest show yet and cannot wait to get started. Get ready to bend and snap!

Joel Roberson- Assistant Director

Joel Roberson is excited to serve as Assistant Director for Small Town Stars Theatre Company’s Production of Legally Blonde. This will be Joel’s third show with the company, having served as Stage Manager for both Heathers and Spring Awakening. Recently, Joel graduated from York College of Pennsylvania, where he worked both on and offstage in numerous productions. He is looking forward to bringing this exciting story to life over the coming months. 

Dillon Mitcham- Company Advisor

Dillon is currently a Senior at Marymount Manhattan College majoring in Theatre Performance and concentrating in Directing. He has been apart of past Small Town Productions since 2016 . He has previously worked at other non-profit organizations including Theatre Forward, New Spire Arts, TADA! Youth Theatre, and Teatro SEA. His directing credits include Assistant Directing two Main Stage Productions at Marymount Manhattan College: The Laramie Project and Kiss Me, Kate as well as two Directing Projects: The Intervention and The Sandalwood Box. Upon graduation, he hopes to pursue a career in Directing or Developing his own non-profit theatre organization.

Olivia Ruth- Vocal Director

Olivia Ruth is thrilled to vocal direct for the first time this summer for Legally Blonde! Pursuing a B.A. in Music Education at Eastern University, she has been involved in music since she was young. She sang in the Frederick Children’s Chorus for ten years, plays piano for various churches and performances, and acts. Her memorable roles have been Patty in Grease, Young Republicanette in Heathers, and Thea in Spring Awakening (Small Town Stars), Mary Poppins in Disney and Macintosh’s Mary Poppins (Walkersville High School), and Mercy Lewis in The Crucible (Eastern University). She cannot wait to take on a new role and work on Legally Blonde!

Jeb Cliber- Pit Conductor

Jeb Cliber is thrilled and honored to be working with Small Town Stars again as the Pit Conductor for Legally Blonde. After graduating from Frostburg State University with a B.S. in General Music Studies Jeb launched into the music education world, serving as the Assistant Band Director for Walkersville High School’s Marching Band and performing avidly in the area. Today he continues to teach at Walkersville in addition to being a high-demand performer in the Frederick and D.C. areas, the band director at Saint John’s Catholic Preparatory School, and as a private instructor through Music and Arts. Jeb currently is pursuing a Masters degree in Secondary Education at McDaniel College and looks forward to the many musical endeavors to come. Jeb is extremely grateful for the opportunity to work with Small Town Stars again and wishes the production team and the cast the best of luck!

Cian Pickron- Stage Manager

Cian Pickron is a senior at Walkersville High School and has been in Stage Management since 8th grade. He is continuing the study of Stage Management for his College Major next year. This is his third year working with Small Town Stars and first year as a Stage Manager for them. 

Brooks Gray- Head of Publicity

Brooks Gray is excited to be the publicity manager, and helps promote STS shows through social media and videography. He also helps cast the productions and enjoys helping in any way he can.

Tori Piechowski- Sound Designer

Legally blonde will be Tori’s 20th show as a sound designer and her 4th show with Small Town Stars. She’s loved every production she’s worked on with this company and hopes to come back for more in the future!

Alex Jones- Deck Crew

Alex Jones is a senior at Walkersville High School. She has been a tech in theater productions since 10th grade. This is her second year working with Small Town Stars and is excited to be a part of Legally Blonde.
