Meet the cast:
Curtis Lee (Warner)
Curtis Lee is so happy to be back this year with Small Town Stars. After a year away pursuing theatre in Maine, Curtis returns to his hometown to hit that stage yet again. Some of his favorite previous credits include: JD in Heathers (Small Town Stars), Stacee Jaxx in Rock Of Ages (Carroll Community College), Ensemble in Mamma Mia (Portland Players, ME), Enjolras in Les Miserables (TACTICC), Corny Collins in Hairspray (TACTICC), and Ernst in Spring Awakening (Carroll Community College). Curtis is also a choreographer. Those credits include: Annie, Footloose, Grease, How To Succeed In Business Without Really Trying, and Fame. He plans to contiue theatre and go back to school for a degree in theatre, dance, and teaching in hopes to become a drama teacher for high school.
Abbie Weinel (Vivienne)
Abbie Weinel is thrilled to return for her third production with Small Town Stars. She is a Junior B.F.A Musical Theatre Major at Messiah college and an Alumni of The National Theatre Institute. Past Credits include Joanne in Company (Messiah College) Medda Larkin in Newsies (Theatre Harrisburg) Reno Sweeney in Anything Goes (September Song) Madame Bathilde in Is He Dead? (Messiah College) and Veronica Sawyer in Heathers (Small Town Stars.) She is the Recipient of the Baltimore Broadway Awards of Best Actress for her work as Reno Sweeney in Anything Goes. A fun fact about Abbie is that she’s also a playwright! Her musical,Live In Color, is currently being produced at Messiah College this Spring.
Skye Lindberg (Paulette)
Skye Lindberg is so excited to be joining STS for Legally Blonde! Before learning how to bend and snap, she appeared as New Wave/Officer Milner in Heathers with Dominion Stage, Beth in Musical Therapy (Capital Fringe Festival, Best Musical Winner), Nicole in We Found the Wild Things (Who What Where Theatre Collective) and Mayella Ewell in To Kill a Mockingbird (Little Theatre of Alexandria). She is a graduate of George Mason University. Her favorite Mason Players credits include: Gogol’s Nose, Mavra; The Laramie Project, Reggie Fluty/Rebecca Hilliker; and The Blue Room, Au Pair. Film: ID Channel: House of Horrors and Nightmare Nextdoor; and Student Films, Lost Socks andClingwrap. In college she took advantage of many opportunities, including studying theatre in London, England with the GMU Theatre Department, as well as studying at The Gaiety School of Acting in Dublin, Ireland (no joke, you can’t make this stuff up, I love Ireland). She currently serves as the Media Relations Associate at Arena Stage and is a yoga instructor. She wants to thank her family and friends for their love and support!
Sam Fox (Serena)
Sam Fox is so excited to be doing her first show with STS! She is currently attending West Virginia University and working towards her BFA in Musical Theatre with a minor in Dance. She is a trained dancer, studying with local studios over the last 16 years and also studies voice with Cathie Porter-Borden. Past roles include Amber in Hairspray (Fredericktowne Players), Shirley in Disaster! (Academy of Fine Arts at GTJHS), Featured Dancer/Dance Captain in Be More Chill (MET-X), Shoemakers Elf/Three Blind Mice in Shrek (OHS) and Gladys in 42nd Street (Other Voices Theatre). She would like to thank her family and friends for all of their love and support!
Charlotte Cooper (Pilar)
Charlotte Cooper is thrilled to be making her debut with Small Town Stars as Pilar! She is a student at GTJHS and has dreamed about being in Legally Blonde since seeing it as a kid. Charlotte is no stranger to the stage, working all around Frederick with The MET, The Fredericktowne Players, Way Off Broadway, and appearing in numerous school productions. She truly adores every aspect of theater and would love to thank everyone who supports her along her journey of learning and growing as a performer.
Brooke Nixon (Margot)
Brooke Nixon is thrilled to be making her Small Town Stars debut in Legally Blonde! Favorite credits include Silly Girl (Beauty & the Beast), Louisa Von Trapp (The Sound of Music), Teen Fiona (Shrek), and Violet Beauregarde (Charlie and the Chocolate Factory). She is a freshman at Christopher Newport University studying Computer Information Science and Psychology. Big thanks to her family & friends for their love and support!
Allison Fitzgerald (Brooke)
Allison Fitzgerald is ecstatic to be doing her first show with STS! She is a freshman musical theatre major at Catholic University in Washington, DC, and has been performing since she was 7. Some of her favorite recent credits include Wednesday in The Addams Family, Daniela in In The Heights, and Elizabeth in Young Frankenstein. When she’s not belting her face off and doing weird impressions, she loves hanging out with her 4 cats and her dog and having bizarrely wild dance parties by herself when nobody’s around. She would like to thank her best friends for cheering her on and for dancing through life with her!
Quest Sawyer (Leilani, and Ensemble)
Quest Sawyer is a Theatre Major at California University in Pennsylvania. Legally Blonde will be her second show with Small Town Stars Theatre. She has been in other productions: such as Commit to the Bit (Ensemble), Red Horse (Ensemble), Heathers the Musical (Cheerleader), and Sister Act the Musical (Deloris). She is excited to perform in such a fun and high energy musical. She would also like to thank her friends and family for their support.
Samantha Drum (Ensemble)
Samantha Drum is super exited to be in STS production of Legally Blonde! While this is her first performance on stage with STS, she has previously helped with costumes for their production of Grease. Her previous roles include ensemble in Dirty Rotten Scoundrels and Aida at Governor Thomas Johnson High School, and ancestor/dance captain in The Addams Family at York College of Pennsylvania. She is currently a junior at York College of Pennsylvania studying secondary education with a focus in social studies. She would like to thank her friends and family for everything they do for her!
Gabe Sandoval (Ensemble)
Gabe Sandoval is so excited to make his debut with Small Town Stars! Gabe is currently a freshman at Frederick Community College studying theatre. Gabe’s favorite roles include Pablo in Tuscarora High Schools production of Sister Act ,The Baker in Into the Woods, and Jake in Hood Colleges production of Be More Chill. He would like to thank his friends and family for supporting him throughout every show he has done. His wonderful friend Quest for being in this show with him and last but certainly not least the audience for coming and watching the show!
Rainelle Jochum (Elle’s Understudy, and Ensemble)
Rainelle Jochum is elated to be part of of Legally Blonde! As a graduate from the American Music and Dramatic Academy, and taking a break from theatre for a few years, she is coming back strong and hoping to keep going with inspiring shows like this one! Previous roles include Joanne, RENT (2019), Eponine u/s, Les Mis (2014), Mayzie LaBird u/s, Seussical (2013), Tracy Turnblad, Hairspray (2012). She would like to thank her father, sisters, family and friends, and her best friend and cast mate CB for their love and support through the processes. Enjoy the show!!
